The Intern will be responsible for carrying out the assigned tasks in laboratory to support the achievement of the sales targets. In addition, the Intern is to ensure the testing meets the ISO/IEC 17025 requirement and tests according to relevant standard and specification to fulfil the client/customer requirements.

• Currently pursuing in the field of Engineering, preferably in Civil or Mechanical engineering.
• Disciplined in practicing procedures and safety.
• Be time sensitive, conscious to deadlines and committed time lines
• Be able bodied and able to carry heavy items (~10kgs)
• Proficient in Microsoft excel

At the end of the internship, the intern would be expected to have completed the following objectives, with varying levels of competency.

• Able to understand the test requirements of various test standards and be able to comment on the individual components of the test sample that has constituted to the failure of test requirements.
• Able to understand the flow of Standard Operating procedures and datasheets for lab test
• Be confident in handling client’s comments and protecting the interests of the test laboratory (by understanding the scope and responsibility of the test laboratory
• Understand more about ISO 17025, a quality standard used by test laboratories
• Associate tests with a variety of test samples
• Intern will be briefed on all the equipment of the laboratory and to understand the type of equipment to be used for which tests.
